A Robbery
Sprinting never was his thing. Especially in the hot afternoon sun, with a heavy suitcase full of money stolen from the bank not far behind. But maybe the two people chasing after him helped him to speed on.
He hopped into his car and revved the engine, sped off in a mad hurry to escape, leaving the two men groaning in frustration. He swerved from lane to lane, fazed b his fast escape. There was no way the men could catch up with this speeding Ferrari unless something outrageous happened…
It seemed like a shadow, yet, so real. As the robber advanced nearer, the shape, he realized, was a tree! He was heading right into it! All he could do was to slam his foot on the brakes and twisting the steering wheel to its extreme. But all he heard was a deafening crash and the smashing of glass. No pain.
The men’s wishes had come true! They’d hoped for a miracle, and a miracle happened. They ran forward, grabbed the robber by the scruff of his neck, and walked to a police station. The next days of his life would be spent in jail.
Yes, you made it through the camp! The hot and stuffy A-huts and dormitories are now just a memory. So are the stinky toilets and pesky mosquitoes. Now that you have earned your bragging rights, aren’t you glad you went to the camp?

Hi guys,
My apologies for the lack of update this week. It had been a busy, busy week. You wouldn’t believe the amount of background work the teachers had to put in to prepare for the camp. There seems to be an infinite stream of tasks to be completed, consent forms, e-learning, camp t-shirts, briefings, medical lists etc. And at the end of the day, I still have to deal with this….
Ok. Enough of the self-pity. This week we received two visitors from New Delhi, India. Their stay with us was relatively short, only three days, but I hope you guys managed to find out a little more about the Indian culture through them.
I would also like to commend Alwyn for his good work in solving the Math problem in class.
I also took some pictures of 5I during their recent lab session.
On a lighter note, I managed to squeeze some time out to fetch my daughter from school on Wednesday. (She is in the afteroon session.) She was truly delighted to see me instead of her grandfather who would usually pick her up. In the evening, she sat down quietly and drew this…
… which would be me holding her hands and walking her home.
I think I will try to walk her home more often.
