While cleaning up my computer harddisk, I came across a batch of photographs I had taken last year and
forgotten to post online. Well better late then never. :)

To the pupils of 3D 2007, if you are still reading this blog, you are best P3 class I have ever taught. I hope you are all happy in your new classes.  All the best!

Hi guys,

If you want to find out what Michellle is doing in Beijing you can visit this blog.

Found the following question on the net:

There is this number which is less than 100.

1) Divide by 3 get remainder 1
2) Divide by 4 get remainder 2
3) Divide by 5 get remainder 3
4) Divide by 6 get remainder 4
What is this number?

There are several methods to solve this problem.  The person who can produce the most elegant solution and present it in class wins a prize. Get cracking! ;)

Just received Ming Yi’s project.

It seems like this is holiday of many pleasant surprises. I have just received an e-journal, written by Brian Toh of 3G, on his holiday in Penang. Brian has also kindly given his permission for me to post his journal here.

Hi guys!

I have just returned from a short holiday in KL, Malaysia with my family. Will update you guys on my KL adventures at a later time. I have just checked my mail and I am very happy to receive more outstanding projects from Ethan (3D), Shuyu (3D), Marilyn (3J), Gayle (3J) and Jordan (3D).

Their projects are posted here from your reference.

As result of man’s activity, acres of forest are cleared each day.  At the same time, some of our rivers are now so polluted that it is no longer safe to go near them.

Make a study on how deforestation and/ or water pollution affects the life cycle of humans and animals.  It will be a bonus if you can present your findings based on specific examples. e.g. how deforestation affected the Orang Utans.

You can do this project individually or in pairs.  The grade of this project will NOT be included in your SA2 results. Nevertheless, the amount of effort you put in it will demonstrate to me how diligent you are as a pupil.

Also, in line with our effort to be environmentally friendly, you are encouraged to submit your project via email.

Be creative and have fun!

Sorry for the delay in updates. Here are some of the pictures I took during the programming lessons.

Well done!

As we are learning about plants now, you may want to pay closer attention to the plants you see around you daily. I took these pictures of plants around my flat a few days ago. I am sure you will find many more interesting plants around your area.

While you were in the house, I was actually terrified that you guys would break something. Thankfully, there were no major catastrophe. I am sure you would agree that the owners were very kind and very brave to let us into their house.

Here are the photographs we took during the fish activity.

Hi guys,

I have improved on the body covering song. The lyrics are as follows:

All our bodies have coverings.
Hair, shell, scales and feathers, their names.
Mammals have hair, fish have scales,
Birds have feathers and turtles have shells.”
(sang to the tune of Scarborough Fair)

This was how you sang it:

Congratulations to these pupils who had attained the Five Stars Award for their spelling and dictation.
